The Toughest Quarter Yet
This 1st quarter was one I never expected, and it felt completely different from previous grades. It was a new environment with new dynamics. Although I've known my classmates since Grade 7, being with them didn't feel like home. This quarter was full of challenges, but also full of lessons that have shaped who I am today.
The world hasn't been easy on me recently. I learned that it doesn't always play fair; it gives you challenges to make you a better person. When people around you are unfair, you must remain fair yourself. When you don't know what to do, you just have to do your best and trust that things will work out. This quarter was the most tiring of my school days, but also the most memorable because of the challenges I faced. Without these past two months of my life, I wouldn't be the person I am today—strong and resilient in the face of adversity.
The classroom never felt like a safe space for me, which was strange because in the previous school year, my classmates were so welcoming. I faced a lot of challenges, like not winning any club positions despite giving my best energy to every speech. I was so drained that every night I felt like crying and sleeping, but I couldn't because there was always so much to do. I never had time to care for myself. I felt like I was never enough, and even after studying for hours, I couldn't perfect a long test. But my saving grace was that I didn't give up. I'd cry, and then I'd continue.
The quote "If the world gives you lemons, make a lemonade" reminds me to go with the flow and do my best to cope with every challenge that comes my way. I remind myself that every problem I face is God's way of teaching me a lesson I will need in the future. I must not give up, because one day the world will favor me.
Moving forward, I will continue to try my best at everything. I may not be the greatest, but I can be great. I will keep exploring, and one day I will find a skill that truly suits me. I will not give up.
